Lookback Longboards

Lookback Longboards began its journey over 2 years ago in Southsea, Portsmouth and was founded by Jacob Kennard and Xavier Stow, with camera and editing support from Jethro Large and Will Brewster.

Originally set up in Portsmouth, Lookback Longboards have branched out to the South West of England with some crew members residing in Plymouth. They are big fans of longboard freestyle and try to skate in locations far and wide, from the UK to Barcelona to South East Asia.

Lookback Longboards been skating for the past 8 years or so, starting with downhill but eventually finding a love for longboarding freestyle and dancing and plan to run freestyle events this year in the UK so keep an eye on their social media to be a part of it!

Brighton’s Battle of the Boards – a short history

Since founder Sheree moved to surf the waves at Fistral and me having stepped away to concentrate on the magazine, our good friend Carley Barton, team rider at Smile Longboards, is now at the helm of Brighton Longboard Ladies and, together with the other team riders and myself sponsoring as Thrill Magazine, this year’s Battle of the Boards is well underway. It was another astonishingly hot day for this year’s Battle of the Boards hosted by Brighton Longboard Ladies and Smile Longboards.  Not only was Tomas Januška one of the official videographers, his company Duck and Board was also a repeat sponsor.  He certainly captured the super chill essence of the event.
